Amanda Brugel
Pointe Claire resides in a uninhabited area of Montreal Island, which is known as West Island. The West Island has a lot of diverse communities. For those who haven't heard of it often think it is a separate, west-facing island. The West Island is frequently referred to as the birthplace of Amanda Brugel but while that is the case, her time there was not long. Brugel grew-up in Courtice close to Oshawa, Ontario. Early ambitions were to become a dancer. But, a growing rate increased her height and she outgrew all of the dance partners she was able to have. She admitted in an article published by the Toronto Star that she is 6'1" tall, even when she wears heels. After I became too big for my male partners I stopped. Many former dancers turn to acting, and in the instance of Brugel,, it was an urging from her teacher of drama. It was her teacher who suggested she audition for the role of Anne for their school's annual production. After trying out her options, she was eventually the main character of Anne of Green Gables. After receiving the Fine Arts Talent Scholarship, she attended York University and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in the year 2000. In the past 20 years, Brugel's work been seen on both the large and small screen. Her work gained most fame when she was offered the part as Rita in the award-winning television series The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel was the character Rita in the Handmaid's Tale which was produced over the course of ten years.
